Have a holly jolly Christmas, it's the best time of the year ... good
thing the ever-growing town of Holly Springs in Wake County doesn't seem to
run short of the holiday spirit. The aptly-named burg even welcomes
its visitors with beautiful images of holly.

Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, had a very shiny nose ... okay, so there are really no reindeers
that call North Carolina home. However, this sign on Mount Sinai Road in Orange County does provide
a little comic relief to motorist on the lookout for the real thing.

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree, how lovely are thy branches ...
looking for a good quality Christmas tree that doesn't resemble anything that
Charlie Brown might get? Then, look no further than this little spot on St.
Mary's Road, across from the new Churton Grove development in Hillsborough.

Frosty the Snowman was a jolly happy soul ...
okay, so you might not necessarily come across those frozen works of art in
this tiny little hamlet on Jones Ferry Road just inside Chatham County. Then
again, the name itself might lend more to winter morning in particular.

Over the river and through the woods, to Grandmother's house we go ...
okay, so the aptly-named road located east of the Flowers Plantation community in
northern Johnston County isn't named after a tragic event that took place on
this particular day. It does have to do with the local volunteer fire department,
whose naming remains somewhat of a mystery.

We'll be together in the light of Christmas Day ... jusk ask the
residents of the rural loop road located off Highway 42 in the Corinth community,
also located in northern Johnston County.
