Campus Road Signs of
North Carolina State University

Here we have a typical street signpost design that is pretty common all over campus. This particular signpost is located next to historic Reynolds Coliseum at Central Campus, the campus region listed below the street names.

Due to the large amount of land mass that NCSU occupies, the campus offers its own bus service to students and faculty needing to travel within the campus boundaries and outlying areas. Because Hillsborough Street is too narrow, busses generally hang a sharp right onto Founders Drive from Dan Allen Drive at North Campus. This sign, which appears before the aforementioned intersection, serves as a warning to motorists to steer clear whenever the Wolfline has to turn here.

This two-tone sign at Avent Ferry Road and Western Blvd. alerts drivers to be careful here when making a right turn. A good number of NCSU students who live at nearby apartment buildings and dormitories have to traverse this busy area in order to get to Central Campus.

Believe it or not, a rather unusual speed limit was implemented for the speed bumps on Dan Allen Drive on Central Campus. Kind of odd considering that even joggers and bicyclists can't even go too fast when approaching them.

Engineering students at NCSU were instrumental in designing this roundabout on Pullen Road and Stinson Drive. This traffic calming device could very well be in place along Hillsborough Street along the edge of North Campus, which should help with the traffic situation there.

Main Campus Drive at Centennial Campus makes a rather abrupt end here just before reaching Centennial Parkway. This warning sign alerts the driver who could easily turn the corner just a bit too fast.
